Santa Claus visits DHSC Pontoon to turn on the Christmas Lights:
On Friday 21st of November Santa Claus arrived by sea to Dungarvan to turn on the Christmas lights. Santa Claus was escorted by members of the RNLI to the quay where he disembarked at the DHSC new pontoon assisted by members of DHSC. A large crowd of parents and excited children had gathered despite the torrential rain. Santa Claus turned on a section of the lights from the pontoon and then led the crowd to Grattan Square to turn on the town’s Christmas lights. Dungarvan is looking good all lit up at night.
Please note that in the interest of security entry and exit from the pontoon will be by fob only for the foreseeable future.
End of Season/ Christmas Party:
The end of season party on the 29th of November was a great success with 60 plus people in attendance. The Commodore thanked Mary Power and her team and Maurice Brennock for the excellent catering provided. Many thanks to the D.J., Gregory Fay, for the music played which had everyone out on the dance floor.
