May Newsletter

22 May 2022

Dear Members,

What a lovely summer we’re having! Here are some updates for the coming days and weeks:

Blessing of the Boats

The Blessing of the Boats is set to take place at 5pm Saturday 28th May.

The Clubhouse will be open afterwards and we will have music by Heavy Twix from 8.30pm.

There are no charges on the pontoon for Saturday night.

See you there!

Racing

We are busy working on the Summer Racing Schedule and all who are interested should get in contact to be put on the Racers’ WhatsApp group. We have a number of members interested in crewing, so if you are short-handed we will put you in touch with some crew.

We are planning for a shakedown race on Thursday 2nd of June (tbc)

Race Information Night Friday June 3rd

Please return any trophies!

Sailing News

Boat Owners’ Sunday Sailing has been very busy over the last few weeks and our adult crew members have been enjoying getting out on the water, thanks to Brîd and John for organising.

A new adult sailing course is set to start in June and was booked up immediately, it’s brilliant to increase the number of sailors on the water and in the club.

We are planning a number of social sails throughout the summer and hope that many of you will come out – the more the merrier!
