DHSC junior Sailing
Thanks to Bríd, Séamus, Oonagh and their team of instructors for another great summer of Junior Sailing. Three two-week courses ran successfully and each were well-subscribed.
Thanks also to Austin, Martin and Michael who helped out with the many, many repairs required due to the windy conditions!
Junior Regatta
Well done to all who took part in the Junior Regatta in very challenging conditions! Thanks to Séamus and team for organising, it’s great for the junior sailors to test their new skills!
DHSC Summer Race Series
A series of 10 races was held over the summer, well done to Alex Ballot and crew (1st), Martin Landers (2nd) and
Oliver Clancy and crew (3rd) on Jalapeño who also brought home the Pattern Cup!
Our new adult sailors and Women on the Water got great experience crewing for the races – many thanks to the boat owners who participated and were so generous with their time and expertise. Thanks to Ciaran Geoghegan and team for organising.
Women on the water
We had a beautiful, if windy, day for ur latest WOW expedition on the dinghies. We are getting to a position now where we have some more experienced sailors who can help out those who are new on the boats – hopefully we can get out again before the end of the season. As always, we are indebted to Bríd, Séamus and Oonagh for making these days happen.
