May League of to Great Start

The May League got off to a great start on Sunday 6th May in great sailing conditions.         Photos of start on gallery page.

In class 1 Seconds Count could do no wrong and after winning the start held the lead all the way to the finish.

Result  1 Seconds Count  2 Bluff   3 Sun 2000

The White Fleet had four starters Meru and Coventina retired but there was a great battle between Fairway and Bagpuss.

Bagpuss was late at the start but gave chase and the margin at the finish after two hours racing was six seconds.

Result  1 Fairway  2 Bagpuss

Next race Sunday 13th. FG  11.00

Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club

Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club, Co. Waterford is situated on the South East coast of Ireland, approximately mid way between Cork and Rosslare harbours. Dungarvan Bay is sheltered allowing safe sailing for both racing and junior sailing and training.

The modern clubhouse is situated right on Dungarvan Quay in the harbour and is in the centre of Dungarvan town. It is also adjacent to the club’s pontoon. The clubhouse has a spacious bar and function area and has all the facilities expected of a modern clubhouse.
